It is another beautiful day in Novi, Michigan with temperatures in the 70s today. While I was wondering what to write about this week, it occurred to me that not everyone is aware of the amazing things you can do in Novi.

We all know that there is a great mall and a fantastic movie theater, but did you know you can get a free pass to state parks all around Michigan? For today, I wanted to share with you 6 hidden gems around Novi, Michigan.

  1. Free State Park Passes
    Yes, it’s true. If you were to head over to the Novi Public Library, you could pick up a free pass to the state parks all around Michigan.
  2. The Michigan Activity Pass
    The Michigan Activity pass can be picked up at the Novi Public Library as well and according to the,

    " You can use your library card to print a pass, at your home or at the library, to one of 60 participating museums across the state. The Michigan Activity Pass gives you either complimentary or reduced admission. Popular museums include Cranbrook Art Museum, the Holocaust Memorial Center and the Detroit Institute of Arts. These passes are available at the Novi Public Library.”

    People come from miles around to shop at the Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, but did you know they are opening 4 new businesses?     Do you love Indian food? On Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm come out and enjoy India’s Independence Day with a parade, great food, music and entrainment for Michigan’s largest Asian Indian event. This event will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace at 46100 Grand River Avenue in Novi and is sponsored by the India League of America Michigan along with the Michigan Asian Indian Community Organizations.
