Don’t want wait in line at the mall to see the Easter Bunny this year?

Would you love to take your children to a huge Easter egg hunt?

If you don’t want to spend the afternoon on a gorgeous spring day waiting in line at the mall to see the Easter bunny, we understand. This year, Novi and Northville, Michigan have a number of Easter events that you will want to check out.

In addition to Easter events, there are also some events happening this weekend that you won’t want to miss.

Easter Events

Novi Eggstravaganza

Michigan State University Tollgate Farm Center
Saturday, April 12, 2014
10:00 am – 12:00 pm

This Saturday, April 12, 2014, between 10 am and noon, come and join in on the fun for a spectacular Eggstravaganza in Novi. The Michigan State University Tollgate Farm Center is hosting the event sponsored by Macaroni Kid and Rosebrooke Child Development Center.

There will be age separated egg hunts, hayrides, refreshments, and a bunny to take pictures with. The event is for any child between the ages of 3-13 years old. For Novi residents the cost is $8 per child, and for non-residents the cost is $10 per child.

Skate with the Easter Bunny

One Saturday, April 19th, the Novi Ice Arena is hosting the Easter Bunny and invites you and your children to join in the fun. The fun will include raffles and games. For all Novi residents, the cost is $4 and for non-residents $5. Don’t let a lack of skates hold you back either. You can rent skates for $3.

The Novi Ice Arena is located on 42400 Nick Lidstrom Drive, Novi, Mi.

Northville’s Annual Egg-Stravaganza

Maybury State Park
Saturday, April 19, 2014
11:00 am -12:30 pm

Northville’s annual Egg-Stravaganza will be held on Saturday, April 19th at the Maybury State Park. Hosted in partnership with Maybury State Park and the Friends of Maybury, this event is sure to make your little ones smile.

There will be an Egg Scramble, eggs filled with great prizes and the opportunity for your children to meet the Maybury celebrities, Smokey Bear and the Easter Bunny. In addition, there will be games to play, face painting, crafts and seed planting. The schedule of events is as follows:

  • 11 am: 5 and under egg scramble 
  • 11:10 am: 6 and up egg scramble 
  • 11:30 am - 12:30 pm: games, face painting, crafts

This event will be held snow, rain or shine and is free. Vehicles must have a Recreational Passport to enter the park.

Northville Mom2Mom Sale

First United Methodist Church
Friday, April 11, 2014
9:00 am – 2:00 pm

This Friday, there is the annual Mom2Mom sale. With events like this sale, having kids does not have to break the bank.

Get there early for the early bird admission and get access to everything including:

  • Clothing
  • Toys
  • Books
  • Shoes
  • Strollers
  • Maternity Clothes

According to the Novi Patch, this event will take place at the First United Methodist Church located at 777 Eight Mile at Taft Intersection in Northville, Michigan on Friday, April 11th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Get there at 9:00 am and pay $2 for the early bird admission or wait till 9:30 am and pay $1 for admission.

All proceeds will go to benefiting charities, community events and organizations.
