This weekend, you don’t want to miss out on some of the last summer events in Northville, Michigan. From the classic summer event, the Friday Night Concert to something completely new, the First Annual Auto Makers Faire, there is something for all to enjoy. Friday Night Concert

This Friday night is the last of this summer’s Friday Night Concerts. These concerts are hosted from May until the end of August in Northville’s Town Square. They are free for all to enjoy and a perfect place to bring a date.

In addition to the musical sounds of the Shawn Riley Band, you will also enjoy on-site vendors. According to the Summer Friday Night Concert flyer, vendors include Mystic Kettle, Kona Ice, The Brown Dog Creamery, Masonic Lodge, The Village Workshop, Advanced Concessions, and Starring Gallery.

First Annual Auto Makers Faire

The Village Workshop describes this faire as “More than a car show. It’s an event for anyone who makes anything.” Saturday’s event will take place rain or shine, and is free to the public, and spectators are welcomed to watch.

Pre-registration is $20. Registration on the day of the show is $30. This event is also open to all cars, trucks, bikes, 4x4s, custom bicycles, and robots.

There will be vendors and makers projects, free tours of the village workshops, food provided by the Workshop Cafe, and live music by the Legendary Global Village. The first 50 registered attendees will receive a limited edition numbered and etched brass dash plaque.

Sundays at Mill Race Village

This Sunday, the Mill Race Village is open for you and your family to travel back in time. According to the Downtown Northville website, there will be  costumed docents available to help guide and inform about the buildings, the contents, and about Northville’s past.

Most weekends, you will even find a working blacksmith, weavers, and rug hookers who are busy at their trade. Occasionally, there is a strolling musician as well.

New Hope Family Fun Festival

  • Northville, Mi
  • Cost: $25 for Adults, $10 for Teens, Kids under 12 are Free

After enjoying Sunday at Mill Race, make sure to stay around for the New Hope Family Fun Festival. This event is for the whole family. The Shawn Riley Band will be there as well as activities for the adults and kids.

According to the Downtown Northville website, there will be games, a Planet Fitness activity zone, a dunk tank, barbecue, and in the evening a candlelit memorial tribute.
