Farmers’ Market - May 15, 2014

8:00 am – 3:00 pm

Northville’s Farmers' Market is up and running. Today, from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm, come and see what Northville has to offer. There will be over 125 Michigan grown and Michigan made products.

Note: Every third Thursday of the month, local chefs take a walk through the markets and do a cooking demonstration. Come and enjoy this morning’s demonstration as well as free samples and recipes from 9:00 am – 10:00 am.

Maybury Farm Fest - May 17, 2014

50165 Eight Mile Rd.
Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $3.00 per person, Children under 2, free

This Saturday, take the kids to Maybury Farm to for a fun-filled day of activities including:

  • Meet the new baby animals
  • The opening of the playground
  • Hayrides

Eclipse Base Ball Club Season Opener - May 18, 2014

Ford Field
Time: 2:00 pm

Northville’s very own vintage baseball team has their season opener this weekend. According to the Downtown Northville website, this version of the sport is “considered a true gentlemen’s game” and is played without sliding, spitting, gloves or swearing. This type of baseball is an honor to the sport.

The team is made up of a volunteer group of baseball history enthusiasts. They compete against other Midwest vintage teams. For eleven years now, the team has “paid homage to the original Northville Eclipse team that was formed in 1867.” Today’s Northville Eclipse is a member of the Vintage Base Ball Association, which “promotes a mission to preserve, perpetuate and promote the game in the highest standards of accuracy and authenticity.”

Come see the 26th Annual Flower sale next weekend, Memorial Day weekend. On Friday, you can enjoy browsing the flowers from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm and on Saturday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Memorial Day Parade - May 26, 2014

Every year, thousands of people come to Northville, Michigan to honor our country’s fallen. The parade starts at 10:00 am and is sponsored by the VFW. For any questions call 248-348-1490.
