The next two weeks are busy ones in Northville, Michigan. This week, a new restaurant opens its doors, next week is the annual State of the Community Luncheon, and next weekend is the Northville Girls’ Night Out. Be sure to mark you calendar so that you won’t miss any of these exciting events.

Granite City Food and Brewery

The Minnesota-based pub and restaurant is now open in Northville, Michigan. This is Granite City’s second location in Michigan and the first one is in Troy.

According to Hometownlife.com, the restaurant is a 10,200 square foot restaurant with a modern design. There is comfortable dining both inside and out, a private room available, as well as a full-service bar. There is a central wood-fired pizza oven and an onsite brewery. 

Here are a few of Granite City’s signature brews,

  • The Duke - a pale ale
  • The Bennie - a bock
  • The Batch - Double IPA
  • The Northern - American Style Light Lager

There are also seasonal beers offered all year long. However, beer isn’t the only reason to visit this pub. This pub is a classic American restaurant that also offers high-quality menu items made from scratch. Some of the signatures include,

State of the Community Luncheon

This year’s State of the Community Luncheon will be hosted by the Northville Chamber of Commerce on April 14 at the Meadowbrook Country Club. The luncheon is open to the residents and businesses of the community. It is a great opportunity for all to hear from their city, township, school district and state officials. The topics of the luncheon will be last year’s successes and the future plans.

  • City of Northville Mayor Chris Johnson
  • School District Superintendent Mary Kay Gallagher

Northville Girls’ Night Out

  • 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Downtown Northville

Every year in April and November, Northville hosts its popular Girls’ Night Out. This special event starts at 5:00 pm when the local Northville businesses open their doors and offer special deals, drawings, discounts, and complimentary refreshments.

Ladies will have the opportunity to shop art galleries, boutiques, home decor, and more. There will be something for women of all ages and styles.

According to the Downtown Northville website, once the shopping is over, you are invited to walk over to one of the many bars and restaurants to enjoy a meal. Some of the restaurants will be offering deals for the Girls’ Night Out shoppers.
