If you are new to Novi, then you might not know what an incredible place it is to live. One of the first qualities you will see is the kindness, service, and love that the people show to each other and to their community. It truly is a unique place to live with amazing people that fills the 32 square mile piece of property in Oakland County.

For the 2016 year, Novi has embraced a vision to show kindness in many different ways. Bot Gatt, mayor of Novi, shared a little bit about the community in the 2016 Novi Calendar. When he thinks about the community of Novi he stated,

“I think about our diversity, how we embrace people from all different cultures, from all over the world and how we embody a sense of togetherness. In our subdivisions, in our schools, in our City government, people accept each other for who we are without regard to race, religion, political party or anything else. I think about how KIND we are to each other.”

When it comes to serving the community, Novi works hard to find ways to show this kindness in many ways. If you are looking to get involved in this kindness movement, or looking to find out more about this unique community, then jumping in on one of “Novi Cares” events, might be the perfect place to start.

Novi Cares is a series of events that will be happening throughout the spring and summer. Each work of “cares” is a different type of service that Novi’s residents are offering to the community.

Wrapping it Up

These are just a few ways that Novi’s community is looking to give back. The ability of the residents to not only come and volunteer, but to seek for ways to help has impressed Novi’s mayor.

Mayor Gatt stated, “I’ve watched in awe as Novi residents who never knew the victims of a devastating house fire stopped with bags of clothing, food, gift cards, and anything that would help the families in their time of need.”
