Looking for some Halloween events in Novi, Michigan?

The weather is getting cold, pumpkins are out, and children everywhere are picking out their costumes and getting ready for Trick-or-Treating. We have put together a list of all the events happening in Novi, Michigan this weekend and next that you will want to be sure to check out. We have also included some Halloween safety tips to help keep your little ones safe.

Upcoming Novi Halloween Events

Trick or Trucks

  • Thursday, October 23rd
  • 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
  • For ages 3+
  • Novi High School
  • 24062 Taft Road

Plan to come out and join in the fun at Novi High School on Thursday, October 23. Anyone can trick-or-treat, but not everyone gets to trick-or-treat and see some of Novi’s biggest trucks. You and your little one will likely see dump trucks, fire engines, and bulldozers.

If the weather does not cooperate, the event will be moved to Friday October 24th. For more information, please see the City of Novi's website.

Halloween Teen Trip

  • Saturday, October 25th
  • 8:30 am – 11:00 pm
  • Grades 7 - 12
  • Novi Civic Center
  • 45175 W 10 Mile Rd,
  • Novi, MI 48375

How would your teen like to head to Cedar Point Amusement Park for one of their Halloweekends? Your teen will get to enjoy a luxury bus ride down to Cedar Point. Then, they will get to a whole Saturday at the park.

Halloweekends includes mazes, scare zones, haunted houses, and live shows.

Students must bring their picture IDs in order to get on the bus that will leave at 8:30 am and return approximately at 11:00 pm. It is important to note that students will not be under constant supervision. For additional information, please see: Halloweekends.

Novi Ice Arena Spooky Skate

  • Sunday, October 26th
  • 3:00 pm - 4:50 pm

Do your kids love ice skating? Are you looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon? This Sunday, dress your kids in their Halloween costumes and head over to the Novi Ice Arena. Not only will they receive a discount on their admission, but there are also prizes given out for best costume.

This event is for all ages and that includes adults. For residents of Novi the cost before discount is $4 and for non-residents the fee is $5. For more, please see: SpookySkate.

Freaky Fright-Day-Luncheon

  • Friday, October 31st
  • 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
  • Ages 55 +
  • Meadowbrook Activity Center
  • 25075 Meadowbrook Road (between 10 Mile and Grand River

If you are 55 or older, plan to attend Freaky Fright-Day-Luncheon for a fun lunch full of “spell-ectible meals” this Halloween at the Meadowbrook Activity Center. The fee is $7 for residents and $8.50 for non residents. The deadline for tickets is Friday, October 24th or until the event is sold out. For more, please see: FreakyFrightDay.

Tips on How to Stay Safe This Halloween

Throughout the years, the City of Novi’s Police and Fire Department have provided tips to make sure you and your family stay safe this Halloween. Here are some of those tips:

  • Only trick-or-treat at well lit houses.
  • Make sure to travel in groups with an adult.
  • Remind your children not to eat treats until they get home and you can inspect them.
  • Parents should supervise all children under the age of 12 while trick-or-treating.
  • Have your children wear costumes that are bright, reflective and flame retardant.
