Summer is just around the corner. That means it is time to sign up your kids for summer camp. Novi, Michigan has a camp that will appeal to every child from getting outside and building to construction and so much more.

Below are few examples of this year’s available summer camps.

Outdoor Day Camps

Some of the day camps include camp counselor in training, spending days on the farm, spending days with horses, traveling around Novi, and more. Here is an example of one of the outdoor day camps offered this summer:

Camp Lakeshore

  • Ages: 6 - 12
  • Monday - Friday
  • 9:00 am - 4:30 pm *extend hours offered for free: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm

This outdoor day camp has been a part of Novi for years. This camp is held at Lakeshore Park. During camp your child(ren) will experience:

  • Kickball
  • Soccer
  • Nature first-hand
  • Build contraptions
  • Science experiments
  • And more.

Children will also experience field trips with destinations that include the Detroit Zoo, Paradise Park, Novi Ice Arena and more.

Building/Construction Camps

Novi’s building and construction camps offer a variety of options from building farm machines, construction machines, cars, and so much more.  Here is one of the building/construction camps offered:

Construction Crew Lego Camp

  • Grades: 4-6
  • Monday - Friday
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • July 13-17

Campers at the Construction Crew Lego Camp will get to build the machines that build the world. Campers get to take home everything they build.

Sports Camps

This summer there are camps for every sport including soccer, baseball, volleyball, basketball, hockey, and lacrosse camps. There are sports camps for 3-year-olds to 15-year-olds. This is one of the sports camps offered:

Challenger British Soccer Camp

  • Ages: 3 - 14
  • Monday - Friday
  • Times vary by the of age of child
  • July 6-10

During this week, your camper will get coaching from a team of international experts. Each day will include foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, and more.

Art Camps

Is your child interested in art? There are camps for art fundamentals, art around the world, drawing and printmaking, and more. Camps are available for kids ages 4 – 11. One example of the art camps being offered is:

Intro to Art Mini-Camp

  • Ages: 4-6
  • Tuesday - Thursday
  • 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
  • July 28-30

Campers get the opportunity to explore the basic elements of design like shape, color, and line, be exposed to different art media, and cover basics art skills like drawing and cutting.

Theatre and Dance Camps

Whether you are looking for a camp for acting, musical theatre, or a ballet class for your little one, you will find a camp that fits your child’s needs. All camps are for ages 3 - 17. Here is one of the camps being offered this summer:

Action for Stage Camp

  • Ages: 10 - 17
  • Monday, August 17
  • Wednesday, August 19
  • Friday, August 21
  • 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

During the 3 days of camp, students will learn about acting, auditioning, and improvisation techniques. The course instructors have advanced degrees and have studied performance and theatre and are employed as drama instructors in the local high schools around the area.

Don’t Miss the Family Overnight Camp

The Great Campouts

  • Ages: All
  • Saturday/Sunday
  • 3:00 pm – 10:00 am

Here is camp for the whole family to enjoy. This summer, take your kids out for a camping trip. Activities include a hot dogs cookout, lawn games, open beach till 8:00 pm, fire pits with s’mores, and a continental breakfast in the morning. Weekends offered include:

  • June 20
  • August 15
