Over the next two weekends, Novi, Michigan is bustling with holiday events. From the lighting of the Christmas tree at the Civic Center to the Novi Indoor Farmer’s Market and other family fun holiday events, you will want to be sure to mark your calendar so that you won’t miss a single event.

Here are the events for the next two weekends in Novi, Michigan:

Light Up The Night

  • December 6th, 2014
  • 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Civic Center Campus

Kick off this holiday season on Friday by attending the Light Up the Night annual event. According to the City of Novi’s website, Novi’s Mayor Bob Gatt, along a “special visitor from the North Pole”, will be lighting the holiday tree.

The fun doesn’t stop there. There will also be:

  • A craft show,
  • A craft activity for kids,
  • Marshmallow roasting,
  • A petting farm,
  • Ice sculptures,
  • Live performances,
  • Free food samples from local restaurants 
  • Festive hay wagon that will take you and your family to a magic show at the Novi Public Library.

Novi Indoors Farmers Market

  • Every other Saturday
  • 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • Novi Civic Center
  • 45175 Ten Mile Road

Due to popular demand, this winter you can still be able to enjoy the Novi Farmer’s Market at the Novi Civic Center. There will be gourmet foods and artisan items available. Be sure to attend for the perfect one of kind gift that is awaiting you.

According to the City of Novi’s website, the Farmer’s Market will be open on the following Saturdays:

  • December 6 and 20
  • January 10 and 24
  • February 14 and 21
  • March 7 and 21
  • April 4 and 18

Holiday Family Road Rally

  • Saturday, December 6th, 2014
  • Starting at Township Hall
  • Located in Furest Park, on the corner of 10 Mile and Taft Road
  • Registration Ends December 5th

For $100, you and your family can have a night to remember. Bring your team of 4 - 6 people and your car to find the “wild & crazy” items to photograph.

There must be at least 1 adult over the age of 21 in a team. For every picture that is taken, your team will earn points. Come dressed in holiday attire and earn bonus points.

At the end, participants will head to a restaurant where they will enjoy a free appetizer and the awards. Remember that your team must bring a digital camera.

Breakfast With Santa in Novi, Michigan

  • Registration Ends Tomorrow

Next Saturday, join Santa and the Mrs. for a delicious breakfast. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available in Santa’s Workshop for visiting. A delectable pancake and sausage breakfast will be served. The event will also include crafts, music and a story by Mrs. Claus.
