Northville’s Christmas Tree and Christmas Decoration Removal

The City of Northville contracts with Waste Management to pick up trash, recycling materials and composting materials. Residents will enjoy having Waste Management pick up their Christmas tree for them as part of this service.

The City of Northville states that following the Christmas holiday, you may place your Christmas tree, wreaths, roping and garland for pick up.

The guidelines include,

  • Place your Christmas tree about 10 feet away from your garbage.
  • Place the tree outside by 7:00 am on your scheduled pick up date.

For residents that are north of Eight Mile Road, your scheduled trash pickup date is Monday. For residents south of Eight Mile Road, your scheduled trash pickup date is Tuesday.

If a holiday occurs on Monday or Tuesday, the collection day will fall one day behind.

Christmas tree collection will continue until the end of January.
