This is Northville’s 6th year putting on the Arts & Acts Festival downtown. It celebrates the diversity of talent and culture in this region while highlighting over 70 artists at the Art in the Sun fine art show. This is a juried art show that has been running for 29 years in historic Northville.

The Arts and Acts Festival is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Northville Art House. The Northville Art House is quickly earning the reputation of being one of the best cultural centers in the Detroit area. Its diversity and excellence have gained the notice of the Detroit Free Press, which frequently features the Art House in its “Play” section about the best of the best Detroit has to offer.

The Art House not only has constantly running art exhibits but also hosts classes with professional instructors and a film festival, to name just a few. The Arts and Acts Festival is one of the biggest and most diverse summer festivals in the Detroit area and not to be missed!

In addition to the Art exhibits, the festival showcases the Sandbox Play Festival, produced by Tipping Point Theatre, the Short on Words Literary Contest, and musical entertainment with some of Detroit’s top musicians.

The film, play, and children’s Northville Art House Chalk Festival each require a nominal fee for tickets, but otherwise, this festival is free for all. The Art House makes its money on sponsorships and artist booth fees. Participants will have access to a range of delicious festival food and drink.
