Northville, Michigan likes to start off the holidays with a bang. If you are looking for fun events for the whole family, this is the place to be. Starting in November, there are a number of different ways to get you and your family in the holiday spirit.

Here is a list of Northville’s upcoming holiday events that you will not want to miss:

Northville Holiday Home Tour

  • November 13-14
  • 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Advanced ticket: $25.00 / At the door: $30.00

Nothing can get one into the Christmas mood like some beautiful Christmas décor. You won’t want to miss this event if you love to see how other people use their talents with their Christmas décor.  Five houses have been selected and will be decorated for the holidays. What a fun way to get inspired for your own home. Each house has a different style that will be sure to inspire you and wow you. The tour will run from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14.

To attend this event, you can order your tickets ahead of time. Tickets in advance are $25.00 and are $30.00 at the door. However, don’t wait long as it has sold out each year. The proceeds of this event will go to the Northville Community Foundation (NCF) and will benefit the community’s funds including the healthy youth and senior funds. The NCF provides grants to the school, senior citizen gift baskets, the scholarship fund, and helps other youth and senior programs.

Northville Holiday Lighted Parade

  • November 20
  • Downtown Northville
  • 6:30 pm

Starting at 6:30 pm in downtown, Northville will ring in the holiday season with their annual holiday Lighted Parade. This is Northville’s official way to kick off the holiday season. If you would like to be a participant in the parade you can fill out a form at Holiday Lighted Parade.

The parade route

The parade is scheduled to exit the Northville Community Center parking lot and onto Cady then will take the following route:

  • East on Cady to Wing Street.
  • North on Wing Street to Main Street.
  • West on Main Street to Linden
  • North on Linden to Dunlap.
  • East on Dunlap to Hutton,
  • South on Hutton to Main,
  • West on Main to Center
  • South on Center to Cady to return to the Community Center

The parade starts the event, but you will want to stick around because following the parade, there will be a community sign-along and tree lighting ceremony. You will also want to make sure to visit the Northville Town Square as local churches will provide free refreshments before and after the parade.

Christmas in the Village

  • November 22
  • Mill Race Village
  • 12:00 pm  4:00 pm

Would you like to catch an early glimpse of St. Nicolas? Stop by the Mill Race Village for a journey back in time as Northville’s Historical Village is ready for the holiday season. Bring the family and enjoy snacks, carolers, and weaver demonstrations. Are you ready to make dent in your holiday shopping?
