Skeletons are Alive in Downtown Northville

October in Michigan is an enchanted place. With the fall leaves changing, it is hard to find a more beautiful place in all the Midwest. The best part is that Northville is in the center of all the beauty and action.

Every year, Northville, Michigan kicks off October with a bang by hosting a special event called, The Skeletons Are Alive. This amazing and unique exhibit was created by the Begonia Brothers of Northville and will begin on October 2nd.

What is involved in this super fun activity?

Northville takes Halloween seriously and likes to have a great time. Arriving to downtown Northville on October 2, will be one hundred life-sized skeletons. Each boney friend is decked out with some pretty sweet costumes. Look out for some creepy crawly spiders taking over the Northville Town Square too. The event will run from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The fun will start at 6:00 pm with a ribbon cutting ceremony in the Town Square, across from the Marquis Theatre on Main Street.

Grab something to eat for dinner at one of the local restaurants, and then set out with your friends and family to find all the different dressed up skeletons hanging around town. Do not forget to find your favorite skeleton and snap a photo with and post it to the Northville Facebook page. Make sure to stop in any of the downtown businesses that are participating in Northville’s First Friday. Each store will have its own entertainment, refreshments, and specials.

The fun does not stop there. Stick around because there will be a free concert with entertainment performed by the Shawn Riley Band.

Can’t make it on October 2nd? Don’t worry, because these crazy bones are on display all October long, so you can still grab a picture with one of your favorite skeletons.
