Are you looking for something to do over the next two weekends?

With June just around the corner, Northville is the place to be for the next two weekends. With the city’s classic summer events, you and your family will be able to enjoy events from the Friday Night Concerts Series to Sundays at the Mill Race Village.

Make sure to include the following events in your weekend plans.

Farmers’ Market

  • Thursdays, May 7 - October 29, 2015

Choose from over 75 stalls of fresh produce, plants, flowers, and so much more at Northville Farmers’ Market. You will also find Michigan made and Michigan grown products including honey, bakery goods, and crafts by fine juried crafters. This is a Farmers’ Market you do not want to miss. Friday Night Concerts Series

  • Fridays, May 29 - August 28, 2015
  • 7:00 pm
  • Downtown Northville’s Town Square
  • Cost: Free

This Friday, the Northville High School Jazz Band will be featured at Northville’s Friday Night Concert. The Friday concerts are free events that are perfect for any Friday night this summer. Bring your kids or a special someone, lawn chairs, and enjoy great music in Downtown Northville’s beautiful Town Square.

Next Friday, June 5th, Northville native, singer and songwriter, Robin Horlock, will be the featured entertainer. He will perform original music that appeals to all generations. For more information, please see Northville Parks and Recreation’s website.

First Friday Experience

Make sure to include Northville’s First Friday Experience on your calendar for June 5. There will not only be a Friday Night Concert at Northville’s Time Square, but also the First Friday Experience as well. Start your Friday night at one of Northville’s many delicious restaurants. Then, start your shopping while enjoying the original music performed by Robin Horlock.

Many of the galleries and shops stay open late for the First Friday Experience and offer special sales, trunk shows, demonstrations, complimentary hors d’oeuvre’s and a glass of wine.

Sundays at Mill Race Village

  • 215 Griswold St, Northville, MI 48167
  • Open to All

Every Sunday afternoon from mid-June to mid-October, take a trip back in time by visiting the Mill Race Village in Northville. The Village will be open for free public viewing from 1-4 pm. Costumed volunteers will be there to guide you and tell you about the buildings, their contents, and about Northville’s rich history.

Some weekends, you will find a working blacksmith, weavers and rug hookers all working their trades. You may even find a strolling musician.
