Over the next two weekends, there is a lot happening in Novi, Michigan. From free CPR classes for residents to trivia nights, the Novi community offers many exciting things to do. Below is a list of upcoming events to take note of while planning your weekend activities.

Trivia Night

This Friday is Trivia Night at the Novi Civic Center. Your team of 4 - 6 will try and outsmart other teams. There will be refreshments for all and prizes for the winning team.

Novi Walking Program

  • Saturday, February 28, 2015

According to the City of Novi, the following are benefits to enjoying a regular brisk walking:

  • Maintaining a healthy weight
  • Strengthening bones
  • Lifting your mood

This weekend you are able to enjoy a brisk walk at the MSU Tollgate Educational Center. You can set your own pace. Afterwards, enjoy walking around the forest, tap a tree, and visit the Sugar Shack. This event is free.

Novi Writer’s Group

Are you a writer or aspiring to be one? If so, the Novi Writer’s Group is a great place to make connections in both the writing and publishing worlds. Improve your skills as a writer by bringing in some of your latest writings. Listen to critiques and get inspired. Local writer, Kathy Mutch, will be facilitating the group.

Free CPR Class to Novi Residents

If you are a Novi resident, you may be interested in getting CPR certified for free. The deadline to register is 2 weeks before the class. If you haven’t registered for the March 4th date, here are other dates to register for:

  • October 7, 2015
  • November 4, 2015
  • December 2, 2015

You may register by calling the Novi Parks and Recreation at 248-347-0400. According to the City of Novi website, six students are the minimum to holding a class, and twelve students is the maximum.

For those who are not Novi residents the cost of the class is $40.
