What time does trick-or-treating start?

Are you wondering when Northville’s First Friday Experience will be next month?

Tomorrow, ghosts, princesses, pirates and more will fill the streets of our beloved hometowns because tomorrow is Halloween. This article will provide you with the times to go trick-or-treating in Northville and Novi, Michigan.

We are including which streets in Northville will be closed for the evening. We will also offer a few tips on staying safe tomorrow night and when Northville’s First Friday Experience will be.

Trick-or-Treating in Novi

According to the City of Novi’s press release that was published last week, recommended trick-or-treating hours are between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. The City of Novi stresses the importance of Halloween safety because with all the excitement it is easy to forget.

Novi’s Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police David E. Molloy said,

“The biggest dangers faced on Halloween are injuries from tripping and falling and pedestrian/car accidents. Unfortunately, many children forget safety tips out of shear excitement while traversing from house-to-house trick-or-treating. It is important for parents to set the example by staying on main pathways and crossing at corners.”

Safety Tips Provided by the City of Novi

  • Only go to well-lit houses.
  • Travel in small groups with an adult.
  • Wait to eat candy until inspected by parents.
  • Parents, supervise all children 12 and under.
  • Use sidewalk and only cross streets at crosswalks.
