with parents and the community, the mission of the Novi Community School
District is to ensure all students construct the knowledge and develop the
skills and the attitudes necessary for a lifetime of learning and participation

Accreditation:
North Central
Accreditation Association presently accredits seven Novi Community Schools.
This means that our schools have met the standards established for membership
working towards goals which improve student achievement levels; establishing
resources which will support quality teaching and learning; and involving
parents in school improvement goal setting. Each school also received State
accreditation based on reading and mathematics MEAP scores over a three-year
period.

The Northville Public School District is
in an upper middle class bedroom community located in the northwest
suburban area of Detroit, Michigan. Median income in 1995 was $56,142. The
majority of the community (28,000) is employed in middle and upper management
positions with the auto industry and subsidiaries or professional occupations.
The District encompasses either all or part of eight political units in the
cities of Northville and Novi, the Townships of Northville, Salem and South
Lyon included in Counties of Wayne, Oakland and Washtenaw.
The Northville Public Schools provide

continue to score well above the State average on the annual Michigan Education
Assessment Tests (MEAP) in Reading, Math, Science and Writing
- 80-85% of the high school students go on
to four-year colleges
- 78% of the instructional staff has
advanced degrees of Masters or beyond

are plentiful. Graduates of Northville High School have ready access to
Schoolcraft College, Oakland Community College, Washtenaw Community College,
Mercy College, Madonna University, St. Mary's College, Lawrence Technological
University, Eastern Michigan University, Wayne State University, Michigan State
University, and The University of Michigan, all of which are within commuting
distance.
